COATESVILLE GROWING GREATER-NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION STRATEGY

Coasteville is a historically significant Chester County community with significant challenges but, with some competitive advantages and special circumstances, the City is again poised for an economic resurgence. As part of a coordinated effort to stimulate investment into the City—and to ensure that these investments are carried out in an equitable and balanced fashion resulting in the benefit of both new and existing residents—the Chester County Economic Development Foundation (CCEDF) and the Coatesville Area Partners for Progress (CAPP) completed
a neighborhood revitalization strategy in 2017. Urban Partners served as the lead planning consultant, leading a team of seasoned community development experts, and the Wells Fargo Regional Foundation provided
funding support for this effort.
The plan addresses a comprehensive list of revitalization topics, resulting in a 5-year action strategy in these following components: Resident Engagement, Jobs/Economic Opportunity, Youth Empowerment, and Community Safety.
