North Broad Renaissance (NBR) is a community development corporation that has overseen the revitalization of Philadelphia's iconic North Broad Street for the past five years. Services have included providing a clean and safe environment, maintaining and improving greenspace, marketing the avenue to visitors and residents, providing communication, and ensuring business retention and attraction. NBR wishes to explore the formation of a business improvement district (BID) to ensure that these efforts can be sustained.

A consultant team led by Urban Partners has been retained by NBR to assist with undertaking a BID feasibility study in partnership with the Philadelphia Department of Commerce, a key agency involved in BIDs throughout Philadelphia. The Urban Partners team will help conduct community outreach, administer a needs assessment survey, and prepare the BID plan, which will be the foundation for the BID implementation. Subsequent to a successful adoption of the BID, Urban Partners will also prepare a strategic plan for the BID management organization.
